The design and manufacture of fuel filters were at the core of what Vokes was all about. Vokes manufactured filters which they sold under their own OEM name “Vokes Fuel filters”, but they also built and sold a huge volume of filter vessels for the main UK engine builders like Mirrlees, Ruston, Paxman, Allen diesels to name but a few. As well as supplying the filter vessels Vokes supported these large engine builders by supplying a range of genuine Vokes spare parts and Vokes filter cartridges to these companies. The supply of marine fuel filters was a big business for Vokes.
Some of the ranges of Fuel filters built by Vokes included:
Vokes Top Servicing Fuel Filters (flows up to 68 m3/hr)
Models in the range of Simplex and Duplex Fuel Filters included the FTU3, FTU4 & FTU5 series, the FTD3, FTD4, FTD5 series, HD3, HD4, HD5 series, TU 63, TU 64 series, TD 63, TD64 series and the DD31 DD£3 series. These filter units were differentiated by different connection sizes, changeover valves and trace heating options which were used for heavy fuel Oil.
Vokes Compact Fuel filters (flows up to 100l/min).
These units were small and extremely simple to service and were an extremely high-volume runner filer unit for Vokes. These filters had numerous industrial uses. Models in this range included E224F, E228F, E238F E246f to name but a few.

Vokes replacement filter element cartridges
Like all other manufacturers as years progressed Vokes discontinued certain models of filter and introduced new models. They did however continue to manufacture filter elements for older model filters and also manufactured new backward-compatible filters for some older model housings. Two of the more modern ranges of Vokes replacement filter cartridges were the Vokes microfelt & Vokes microfine filter elements.
